Minihaiku

Last year I lectured about haiku at FOF (evening school for adults). I wanted that the listeners should improve reading haiku, so I asked them to write one by themselves.

A Japanese lady participated. She misunderstood the instructions because she did not know, what a Danish syllable was. She wrote a little poem only using 5–7–5 letters (instead of syllables). I thought it was a provocative mistake, and I have tried to write some similar poems, which I have named minihaiku e.g.:

woman

in black

black

cream

dessert

tough
